Hello Islanders!
It’s Tuesday, 12:01 AM on the U.S. east coast. As promised, here is the post to which you can submit your links in the comments section. Remember, only post the link to your work here — as a ‘comment’, and please make certain your link is accurate.
If you’re new, welcome — all the details of ‘How To Come Ashore’ are posted in the sidebar. If you’ve returned, we’re all glad to see you again!
Writers Island is your island. Please feel free to let us all know what you want and need on the island to make it a nurturing experience. Your suggestions will be submitted to the island community for consideration.
This week’s prompt is about exploration and discovery — the seductive call of the horizon, of the great ‘beyond’. Did you take us on a journey through the material world, or into the mind? Which ever, it is leaving time.
So join your fellow islanders’ as we embark on, “The Journey”.
The weather as usual is beautiful here on the island, and the breeze is cool… a great night for a trip! So please, relax, express yourself, and let these cool breezes carry your words.
EXPLORE — fellow islanders! Enjoy the experience…

Hi everyone,
This is a story that I posted on Sunday and is the beginning to a potential novel. I am curious to see if this is something you’d be interested in reading. It’s called ‘Winter’s Haze’.

Good morning, all! This week I have two pieces to share. Here is one that I wrote ten years ago, and when I saw the writing prompt, I knew I would share it. And here is the one that I wrote this week, a bit of a love poem, I guess.
Happy Tuesday! I can’t wait to go read everyone’s work!

A departure from the poetry I typically post. A remnant project from my former life as a fiction writer. Open to positive and negative feedback alike, this beast needs some shaping up because I’m very ready to turn it loose.

Late again! I’m afraid Tuesday is the busiest day of the week for me and it’s hard to find the time, still I hope you’ll join me on my journey.

Gautami -
Thank you for helping Pepek post! I had helped last week, but overlooked editing her post this week owing to the distraction of visiting in-laws who are our house guests.
Pepek, Gautami offers you good advice. Please try to follow her suggestion and fill the boxes out completely — because we all enjoy reading your work…

http://freepoemsonline.blogspot.com/2007/09/unlike.html
I guess I am wondering if it makes any sense to anybody or if you “had to be there” to understand it (in other words, if only I can understand it) or maybe a little bit of both.
I would like very much to know what people can glean from it.
