Hello Islanders!
It’s Tuesday, November 20th, 12:01 AM on the U.S. east coast. It’s time for us to share our ‘dreams’.
Here is the post to which you can submit, in the ‘comments’ section, your link to your piece now posted on your blog. Remember, post only the link to your work here — not the piece itself… and please make certain your link is accurate.
If you’re new, welcome ashore! More details of ‘How To Be An Islander’ are posted in the sidebar. If you’ve returned, a warm welcome back!
Writers Island belongs to us all. Please let us know what you want and need on the island to make it an enjoyable and nurturing experience.
So, what have we each conjured up regarding “The Dream” — or whatever other treat you may have for us? We’re all eager to hear! So let’s everyone get comfortable here on the island, and share our work.
TO DREAMLAND — fellow islanders!

I wrote a poem that turned out much more personal than I intended to write. Despite some hesitant, I posted it anyway. Thanks, as always!

The Dream
I awoke with a start. I was disoriented, confused . . . it took me a moment to realize where I was. In fact, I was right at home in my own warm, comfortable bed.
So why had I awakened so forcefully and with such a jolt?
I got up and stumbled…

I’m posting a poem by Yeats I memorized. In the poem the narrator imagines a young woman envisioning herself when old, dreaming of her youth, her lost love.

I had a dream about a month ago that I thought of writing about when I first saw this prompt. It’s far too personal I didn’t get to write it in a way I would want to share so I don’t have a link to provide today. But one of these days I will…..
I think I’ll just enjoy going around and reading about all your dreams. Happy Tuesday!
