Prompt & Link: “Time Travel”

February 15, 2008

9:00 AM Friday morning, February 15th, 2008, on the U.S. west coast, is just a short time ahead — so… here I am with a new Prompt!

This week’s, and the twenty second Writer’s Island prompt is: “Time Travel”.

Again, I’m not going to make any suggestions how you might approach this week’s prompt. Just ask yourself, if you could, would you “Time Travel” — then let your muse stir your imagination. Captivate our sense of wonder!

Whatever moves your soul this week is what we all want to read. So, create your poem, prose, short story, essay, commentary, or whatever — and post it on your blog. Feel free to include recordings of you reading your work — and any photo, artwork, or graphic representation you feel is relevant.

When you have finished your piece, please return here to this post and place your link to your work as a comment — and as you know, just the link, not the piece.

Please realize there is no need to rush, this post will be open to receive your links for the entire week, leading up to the next prompt.

May this, and every week, find you having the time of your life — and may your muse be kind! We can’t wait to see what you write…

  58. Greetings Islanders -

I’ve been percolating a bit of and idea for a number of weeks, and I am going to introduce it tomorrow in this week’s “Prompt & Link” post.

No details here — just know that, starting with this week’s post, we will have two prompts every week from which to choose.

You can pick either, both, or as always — write whatever moves you for the week… regardless of the the prompts.

Just a friendly ‘heads up’. ;)

  59. I thought it would be interesting to reveal this woman’s life through various flashbacks - she time travels through her memories and I hope the reader realizes that sometimes, it’s necessary to examine the past before taking that first step toward the future.

    Thanks for reading.

    Moving On
